It could take several visits to the Collectorate , huge amount of money and too much time.
Here in this post, I shall try to help you with the process and steps, based on my experience in obtaining a Pistol license. Maybe this post could help you clear some doubts.
Starting with the required documents first:
1. Address proof [ Aadhaar Card, Electricity/Gas Bill, Passbook, Ration card etc]
2. Identity Proof [ Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN card]
3. Last 3 year ITR returns (Income Tax return statements)
4. 5 to 10 passport size, white background color photos
5. Proof of employment in case of private job/ government job
6. I-Card issued by employer
7. Shop license/Registration papers etc for businessmen
8. Proof of education [ Graduation Marksheet/ Degree]
9. Proof of Date of birth [Marksheet/ Date of birth certificate]
Documents to be acquired:
1. License form from Collector's / Commissioner's office [Cost= Rs. 200 as on 1-Jan-2020]
2. Fire-arms Training Certificate from Police.
3. Medical Fitness certificate from Chief Medical Officer(CMO)/ Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS)
4. Four Affidavits [One addressed to Zila Adhikari, while 3 addressed to Zila Magistrate]
5. Proof of submission of fees to District Rifle Association bank account [Fees= Rs 2000 as on 1-1-2020]
6. Four Court stamps of Rs. 2 each
7. Stationary File
